Terms and conditions

Who we are
These terms govern the use of the REMATCH website and app, and taking part in our training sessions and matches, in any of the cities where we run them.
Operator: Polina Iegorova · Tax ID ESY1895507E · Registered address Carrer des Frares 28, 07701 Maó, Menorca, Spain · Email hola@rematch.es.
By creating an account, booking a session or taking part in one, you accept these terms. If there is something you do not agree with, do not book and write to us.
What we offer
We run two things: coach-led football training, and friendly matches supervised by a host. Both are for people who want to play again. We are not a league or a registered club: there is no official table, no registered competition and no player registration.
The difference between the two matters. Training is run by a coach: they plan the session, lead it and correct you. A friendly match is supervised by a host: they open the pitch, hand out the bibs, pick the teams, referee and enforce the rules. A host does not coach, does not correct technique or set your effort level, and does not have to be a coach.
We do not run friendly matches in every city. The site shows what is available in each one.
Inside the app you will see a city table, ratings and MVPs. They are a way to follow your progress and to wind each other up a bit, nothing more: they are not an official sporting result, they carry no prize, and we can change or withdraw them whenever we like. What other members can see about you is set out in the Privacy policy.
Every session has a length, a capacity and — for training — an intensity level shown on the site. We may change the pitch, the time or whoever runs it if we have to; we will tell you as far in advance as we can.
Your account
To book you need an account and you must be 18 or over. The details you give us must be real and kept up to date.
You are responsible for your password and for what happens on your account. If you think somebody else has got into it, tell us.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, in particular the parts below about conduct and safety. An account closed for that reason does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits.
Sessions and payment
Sessions are paid for with credits, and there are two kinds that cannot be swapped for each other: training credits book training, match credits book friendly matches. One credit is one place at one session of its kind.
They are bought separately and at their own price, and that price can differ from city to city: renting a pitch does not cost the same everywhere. The credits you buy can only be used in your city.
Credits are bought singly or in packs, paid for once, and do not expire: they stay in your balance until you use them. There is no recurring fee and no recurring charge. You can see how many you have left in your profile at any time.
Prices are shown in euros and include applicable taxes. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
You can also pay in cash, at the pitch, by handing the money to whoever is running the session. This way of paying is meant for people who have no credits yet, so it is only available when your balance is zero in both pockets.
Bring the exact amount: we give no change at the pitch. Your credits are added there and then, and the one for the session you have come to is spent on the spot. You can see the payment in your profile before you leave.
Whoever is running the session can sell you a different bundle from the one you picked if it suits you better, and the amount is recalculated in front of you.
Credits cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another person, unless the law says otherwise.
If a payment fails or is reversed, we may cancel the corresponding credits and any bookings made with them.
Booking without paying is a matter of trust, and trust can be lost. If you confirm a cash place and do not turn up, or you arrive without the money, you stop being able to book without paying in advance: you can still play and still buy credits as normal, but you will have to pay for them first. We will tell you why and which session it happened at. You can ask for it to be lifted by writing to us or speaking to the head coach in your city, and a person will review it.
If you are injured or ill and cannot come, you lose nothing: your credits do not expire and stay in your balance until you can come back. You do not need to tell us to keep them, though we appreciate hearing about it so we can adapt the session for your return.
Your purchases
Every purchase is a one-off payment. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no amount that gets charged on its own: you only pay when you decide to buy credits.
There is no minimum term and nothing to cancel. If you do not want to carry on, simply do not buy any more. You can delete your account whenever you like from your profile.
If we change our prices, the change only affects future purchases. What you have already bought is unaffected: those credits are yours at the price you paid.
Purchases are not refunded. What you pay becomes credits, and the credits are yours: they do not expire, they are not tied to a date, and there is no day on which they stop being worth anything. That is why there is no money to give back - nothing is lost by not using them yet.
If you get injured, move away, or simply stop coming, your credits stay in your balance waiting for you, for as long as it takes. Come back in two years and they are still there.
None of this affects any consumer rights you have that cannot be waived. If you believe yours is one of those cases, write to hola@rematch.es and we will look at it.
All of the above is about money. Cancelling a booking you have already made is a different thing, covered by the section below: there the credit does go back into your balance.
Bookings and cancellations
You can cancel your place up to 8 hours before the session starts — training or match — and the credit goes back into your balance in full, to the same pocket it came from. After that the booking can no longer be cancelled: the pitch is paid for and at that notice the place cannot be filled. If you do not turn up, the credit counts as used.
If you booked in cash, your place is held on a promise rather than on a payment, so we ask you to confirm it. You have until four hours before the start, and we remind you before the deadline. If you do not confirm, the place goes to the next person on the waiting list and you lose nothing else: you are not charged and it does not count against you.
Once confirmed, arrive fifteen minutes early so there is time to pay without rushing. We do not close the till when the session starts: if you arrive just in time, you can still pay.
If a session is full you can join the waiting list. Joining costs nothing and takes no credit.
When a place frees up we offer it to whoever has been waiting longest. The place is held in their name, but the credit is not taken until they confirm it. If other people are on the list they have 30 minutes to confirm; if nobody else is waiting, the offer has no deadline, and the moment a second person joins the clock starts and we tell them.
You can turn the offer down if it does not suit you, and it passes to the next person straight away. If you let the deadline pass you lose the place, and you can rejoin the list — at the back of it.
If we are the ones who cancel a session — for the weather, the state of the pitch, too few players or any other reason — we return the credit in full, no conditions.
Arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive late, whoever is running the session will decide whether you can join in safely, particularly if the warm-up has already finished.
Filming and photography
We film and photograph our sessions regularly, and we use that material to promote REMATCH: the website, social media, advertising and any other channel of our own. If you take part in a session you are likely to appear in images or video that we publish.
At the end of a session, whoever is running it may take a group photo. We show that photo to the people who played that session inside the app, with the badge and the day's details over it, so they can save it or share it if they want. It disappears from the app after 24 hours. If you would rather not be in it, step aside: it is voluntary and nobody will ask you twice.
Anyone taking part is free to film and take photos themselves and share them wherever they like. We like the atmosphere to speak for itself.
There are two limits, and they are common sense: no filming in changing rooms or anywhere people are getting changed, and if somebody asks you not to film them, that is respected and the footage deleted.
If you do not want to appear in our promotional material, tell us before the session and we will take it into account when filming and editing. You can also ask us at any time to take down a specific image by writing to hola@rematch.es. You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, though that does not affect material already published before you told us.
How we handle these images as personal data is explained in the Privacy policy.
How we treat each other
These sessions exist so that people enjoy football again. That means: respect for whoever is running the session, for the other players and for the facilities.
Physical or verbal aggression, insults, threats, violent play and any form of harassment or discrimination on grounds of sex, origin, orientation, religion, age or ability are not tolerated. There is no room for interpretation here.
Whoever runs the session — the coach at training, the host at a friendly match — has authority over it and can remove you on the spot, without returning the credit used, if they consider your behaviour puts the safety or the atmosphere of the group at risk. Their decision on the pitch is final.
REMATCH may also suspend or close your account and block your access to all our services, temporarily or permanently, if you break these rules. In serious cases we will do so without prior warning and without refunding unused credits. Where conduct may amount to a criminal offence, we will report it to the authorities.
If the suspension is temporary, we will tell you when it ends, and it lifts by itself when the time is up.
Smoking and drinking alcohol during sessions is not allowed. Nor can you take part under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
Follow the instructions of whoever is running the session: they decide on intensity, teams and safety.
At friendly matches we play with no late or from-behind challenges, no slide tackles and no arguing with the host: these are matches to enjoy, not to win. We hand out the bibs and we pick the teams.
Health, fitness and informed consent
Football is a contact sport with a variable physical demand. Training is planned and led by a coach to reduce risk; friendly matches are supervised by a host, who enforces the rules of play but does not set your effort level. In a match you decide how hard you push, and that responsibility is yours. No precaution removes the risk entirely. By signing up, you agree to take part voluntarily and in awareness of those risks.
We want you to know specifically what you are exposed to. The usual risks range from minor injuries — grazes, bruises, twists or strains — through more serious ones — sprains and muscle or ligament tears, fractures, knee, ankle or back injuries, blows to the head — to severe injuries and, exceptionally, cardiac events or irreversible harm. Listing them is not meant to frighten you: it is meant to make your consent real and informed.
By booking and taking part, you declare that you are in adequate physical condition to exercise, that you have no illness or physical or psychological condition that makes it inadvisable, and that no health professional has told you not to play sport. If that changes, stop taking part and tell us.
If you have not exercised for some time, are carrying an old injury, are under medical treatment, are pregnant or have any doubt at all about your health, we strongly recommend a medical check-up before your first session. We are a project built for people coming back to football after years away: this recommendation is especially for you.
You must tell whoever is running the session, before it starts, about any injury, discomfort, medical condition or medication that could affect you during the activity. They can adapt the session, but only if they know. This information is treated confidentially and used solely to adapt the session, as explained in the Privacy policy.
You must have healthcare cover in place, whether through the public health system or private medical insurance. REMATCH does not arrange on-site medical assistance at sessions or personal accident insurance for participants, unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific activity.
Follow the instructions of whoever is running the session and the facility's rules at all times. They can ask you to stop, to lower the intensity or not to take part if they consider that doing so puts your safety or the group's at risk.
You accept responsibility for damage or injury arising from your participation to the fullest extent permitted by law. This clause does not exclude or limit our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and it does not affect the rights consumer law gives you.
We are not responsible for personal belongings lost, damaged or stolen at the facilities.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the change is a significant one — for example, to prices, credits or cancellations — we will tell you by email or on the website with reasonable notice.
The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date shown above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Valencia, unless consumer law establishes a different jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, you can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
